I have come to terms with the fact that I can no longer live in the dark and keep fooling myself that I can get a job that makes decent money while continuing on without a college degree.
With that being said, I've signed up for classes that will allow me to earn my degree in May. Heck, its only been eight years. Whats the rush, right?
I applied for financial aid today so I'm hoping that will allow me to take several classes without anything being paid out of pocket. It would also cover my health insurance which I desperately need at the moment.
I start classes on Tuesday the 20th.
Hopefully my schedule will look something like this (keep in mind, I dont need all these classes, but if I can take them I will):
2 Online Courses: Understanding Movies, and Math Art (I've taken the movie course before, but I got a C in it because I didnt try really, so I'll take it again to improve my grade)
Monday Oceanography or Playwrighting
Tuesday Journalism Workshop, and 20th Century Literature
Thursday Hydrology or Photography 1
My goal is to finish school with at least a 3.0 GPA and Dean's List this semester
I will be applying for a seminar at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University during the summer and also applying to UMASS Boston for the following fall.
I dont want to get too ahead of myself, but I am looking forward to Tuesday.
